We’re seeking a skilled Mid-Senior Flutter developer to take ownership of our mobile application development. This isn’t just another app - you’ll be working on a sophisticated audio streaming interface that controls high-end audio hardware and delivers bit-perfect playback to discerning audiophile users. You’ll have end-to-end ownership of the Flutter codebase, collaborate closely with embedded Linux and backend engineers, and directly influence the future of Volumio’s mobile platform.
Own the development and architecture of Volumio’s Flutter-based mobile apps
Build responsive, reliable playback control and streaming interfaces
Design and implement device discovery and hardware control workflows
Integrate with Linux-based embedded audio systems
Optimize performance for real-time, low-latency audio control scenarios
Strong proficiency in Flutter and Dart
Solid understanding of Linux systems and command-line tools
Experience with audio playback technologies
Understanding of networking protocols (mDNS, DLNA/UPnP a plus)
Experience with audio, music, or media-related applications
Familiarity with streaming concepts, codecs, or audio APIs
Experience with embedded Linux systems
