The ideal candidate will have strong experience in automation, proactive monitoring, and performance management, with a mindset focused on continuous improvement. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liSupport devOPS team in implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) pipelines /li liDefine recovery automations (self-healing, blue/green deployments) through resilient and automated processes /li liDefine and monitor SLIs/SLOs to ensure service quality and create intelligent alerts on New Relic and act proactively to prevent incidents /li liDesign autoscaling and capacity planning strategies for AWS cloud-native environments /li liDesign and execute disaster Recovery strategies for AWS cloud-native environments /li liDesign load test, performance test, endurance test and long running tests, and lead the execution /li liDesign chaos engineering practices to improve overall systems' reliability /li liEnsure optimal performance during peak scenarios without resource waste /li liLead structured post-mortems and technical retrospectives /li liTurn every failure into an opportunity to strengthen the infrastructure /li liApply rightsizing and cloud cost optimization best practices /li liEnsure incidents are managed properly and reactively according to Group SLAs /li liPerform application maintenance activities, including troubleshooting, patching, and ensuring compliance with security and performance standards /li liCollaborate with development teams to address application-level issues impacting reliability and scalability /li liMonitor and optimize application performance across environments to prevent degradation and ensure SLAs are met /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 pOur ideal candidate will meet the following requirements: /p ul liDegree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field /li liAt least 5 years of experience in digital technology development and architecture and in the management of complex IT projects /li liAWS Certification (mandatory) /li liProven experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS) /li liStrong knowledge of IaC (Terraform) and Gitlab CI/CD pipelines /li liExpertise in monitoring and observability tools (e.g., New Relic) /li liFamiliarity with SLI/SLO/SLA concepts and SRE methodologies /li liExperience with container orchestration /li liKnowledge of FinOps and cloud cost optimization /li liExperience working in teams preferably heterogeneous in terms of skills and people background /li liFamiliarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies /li liEffective communication skills in both English and Italian /li liStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a continuous improvement mindset /li /ul h3Nice to Have /h3 ul liAdditional cloud certifications (Azure) /li liAdditional IaC certifications (Terraform) /li liExperience with scripting languages (Python, Go, Bash) /li liBackground in DevOps or Platform Engineering /li /ul h3Company Profile /h3 pGenerali is a major player in the global insurance industry - a strategic and highly important sector for the growth, development and welfare of modern societies.
