Are you a MS or PhD student interested in a 2026 internship in the field of machine learning, deep learning, generative AI, large language models, speech technology, robotics, computer vision, optimization, operations research, quantum computing, automated reasoning, or formal methods? We are looking for students who want to invent, design and implement state‐of‐the‐art solutions for never‐before‐solved problems.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Own the design and development of end‐to‐end systems.
- Write technical white papers, create roadmaps and drive production‐level projects that support Amazon Science.
- Work closely with Amazon scientists and other science interns to develop solutions and deploy them into production.
- Design new algorithms, models, or other technical solutions while experiencing Amazon's customer‐focused culture.
- Collaborate with diverse cross‐functional teams to solve complex business problems.

About the Team
Applicants will be reviewed on a rolling basis and assigned to teams aligned with research interests and experience before interviews. Start dates are available throughout the year; durations range from 3‐6 months for full‐time internships. The role may be available across multiple locations in the EMEA region, but are not remote.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
- Enrolled in a PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Engineering, Operations Research, Statistics or related fields.
Preferred Qualifications
- Publications at top‐tier peer‐reviewed conferences or journals.
- Experience designing experiments and statistical analysis of results.
- Experience implementing algorithms using toolkits and self‐developed code.
- Experience solving business problems through machine learning, data mining and statistical algorithms.
