The Country Manager for Italy is part of the Tour Operating Business Unit. This role leads the company's strategy, operations, and representation in the country, acting as the key figure responsible for driving the development, positioning, and growth of the tourism business in Italy. Role PurposeTo ensure the full implementation and development of tour operating activities in Italy, strengthening strategic relationships with suppliers, public institutions, and local partners; guaranteeing exceptional product quality; and representing the company before key stakeholders in the tourism sector and governmental authorities.Key Responsibilities1. Strategic & Operational LeadershipDefine and execute the national tour operating strategy in Italy, aligned with the company's global objectives and with a strong focus on contracting tourist product.Oversee the implementation of processes, operational standards, and corporate policies.Identify business opportunities, expansion areas, and product diversification initiatives.2. Institutional Relations ManagementMaintain and develop high-level institutional relationships with:Embassies and consulatesMunicipalities and local governmentsMinistries and other relevant governmental bodiesParticipate in official events, industry forums, tourism roundtables, and institutional meetings to represent and strengthen the company's presence in the country.Collaborate with public entities on strategic projects, tourism promotion programs, and product development initiatives.3. Commercial & Product ManagementDrive the development of the tourism product in Italy, ensuring competitiveness, differentiation, and high-quality standards.Supervise contracting with ground suppliers, DMCs, and strategic local partners.Align market needs with corporate brands and departments (product, marketing, sales, and operations).4. Financial ManagementPrepare and oversee the national budget, including sales, margins, investments, and forecast.Monitor financial performance and ensure profitability of the destination.Implement continuous improvement plans to optimize revenue and cost structures.5. Company Representation & ReputationServe as the company's top representative in Italy, ensuring a strong, professional, and trustworthy image.Act as spokesperson before institutions, industry associations, and strategic partners.6.
