In this key role, you will lead the Sterility Assurance team, supporting both the Mirandola and Reggiolo sites. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of sterility, quality, and regulatory compliance across all operations.Reporting directly to the EMEA Sterility Assurance Leader, you will play a crucial role in driving excellence within sterility assurance processes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and contributing to Medtronic's mission of improving lives through innovative healthcare solutions.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
Leads and manages a Sterility Assurance team of three, overseeing daily operational activities and contributing to strategic initiatives related to sterilization and microbiologySets performance expectations, provides coaching, and ensures team results meet or exceed defined objectives. Supports internal and external inspections and ensures timely resolution of audit and inspection findingsParticipates in regional sterility assurance programs and collaborates with peers across EMEA to maintain high performance standards. Provides technical oversight of chemical and microbiological analyses; reviews and approves results and ensures compliance with specifications and regulationsEnsures proper implementation of EO sterilization and environmental control processes, including technical oversight of validation, qualification, monitoring and documentationReviews data, identifies trends and recommends corrective and preventive actions to improve efficiency and complianceMaintains and updates site's sterility assurance policies, procedures and documentation in accordance with company's global and regional guidelines and in compliance with regulatory requirements
Required Knowledge and Experience:
Master's degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 1 year of relevant experienceMinimum 3 years of leadership experience, including scheduling, prioritization, coaching and team development. Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teamsStrong quality assurance / compliance / operations background in a regulated environmentDemonstrated proficiency in sterility assurance, including EO sterilization, environmental monitoring and microbiological assaysProven capability to manage both strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations while allocating resources effectivelyExperience collaborating with stakeholders at multiple levels, from production floor to top managementFluency in English, both written and spoken
