Role Overview
The System Integration Engineer supports the installation, configuration, administration, and maintenance of constructive simulations, virtual/gaming‑based simulations, simulation workstation training, network and system administration on simulation networks, terrain modeling, multimedia development, and Army Mission Command Information Systems (MCIS).
Responsibilities
* Provide system administration for constructive simulations and gaming models, including maintaining Windows 10/11 workstations, Windows Server 2012 R2/2019/2022, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6/7/8/9 servers/workstations, with software updates, patches, and baselines.
* Work from specifications and installation documentation to develop or modify operating systems applications.
* Provide server administration of simulation systems in Live, Virtual, Constructive, and Gaming (LVC‑G) simulation architectures.
* Operate software in a distributed architecture in Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC) and Joint Live Virtual Constructive (JLVC) environments.
* Responsible for technical operations, setup, and teardown of servers, systems, and integration tools; maintain Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance; provide input to exercise design and technical planning products.
* Create constructive and gaming simulation databases.
* Configure and manage Army Mission Command Systems (AMCS) to include:
o Air Defense Systems Integrator (ADSI)
o Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS)
o Effects Management Tool (EMT)
o Air and Missile Defense Workstation (AMDWS)
o Distributed Common Ground System‑Army (DCGS‑A)
o Joint Battle Command‑Platform (JBC‑P)
o Mounted Mission Command – Software (MMC‑S)
o Tactical Airspace Integration System (TAIS)
o Global Command and Control System‑Army (GCCS‑A)
o Tactical Communications and Command System (TCCS)
o Command and Control Information Systems such as Command Post of the Future (CPOF), MCIS, Command Post Computing Environment (CPCE), and Joint Automated Deep Operations Coordination System (JADOCS)
* Integrate simulation and Combat Training Center instrumentation systems.
* Support exercise and training event design, planning, preparation, and evaluation.
* Test all beta and new simulation software, integration software or tools, and simulation federations.
* Administer simulation software including JLCCTC, Low Overhead Training System (LOTS), Joint Conflict and Tactical Simulation (JCATS), Joint Exercise Control System (JECS), and Digital Exercise Training Review System (DXTRS).
* Integrate simulation data using Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) or High‑Level Architecture (HLA) protocols to stimulate mission command systems.
* Provide technical integration solutions and recommendations for exercises, including Simulation to Stimulation (Sim‑Stim) architectures.
* Provide system administration and support for the Multiple Unified Simulation Environment (MUSE).
* Support the preparation, execution, pre‑exercise setup and post‑exercise recovery and reset of all facilities, workstations, work areas, TOC Pads, and training areas back to their original configurations.
* Participate in training, seminars, conferences, exercise/experiment planning events, site surveys, and support the planning and preparation processes and product development as needed.
Requirements
* Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance and the ability to obtain Top Secret w/SCI.
* Education: Bachelor’s degree, or associate’s degree plus 4 years of related experience, or IAM II certification or above plus 6 years of recent related experience, or 8 years of related experience.
* CompTIA Security+ or higher Information Assurance certification per Department of Defense Manual (DoDM) 8140.03 DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF).

What Sets You Apart
* Experience in installation and configuration of current Windows or Linux operating systems.
* Experience creating all constructive, battle command interface, and gaming simulation databases to support an exercise, event, or testing.
* Experience with U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) modeling and simulation defense programs.
* Experience configuring, operating, administering, troubleshooting, and maintaining one or more of the following simulations and communications software:
o Joint Land Component Commander Training Capability (JLCCTC) / Warlfighter's Simulation (WARSIM) / WARSIM Intelligence Model (WIM)
o Joint Conflict and Tactical Simulation (JCATS)
o Low Overhead Training System (LOTS)
o Multiple Unified Simulation Environment (MUSE)
* Experience in database creation for Joint Land Component Commander Training Capability (JLCCTC), Joint Conflict and Tactical Simulation (JCATS), Joint Deployment Logistics Model (JDLM), Joint Live Virtual Constructive (JLVC), Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS), etc.
* Experience administering Microsoft Enterprise Services including Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) admin center, Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), Active Directory Federation Service (AD FS), Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft SharePoint Administrator, and Microsoft Exchange Server.
