Doctoral and Postdoctoral Positions (m/f/d) | Architectures of Finance The Minerva Fast Track Group “Architectures of Finance,” headed by Dr. Eva Schreiner within the department of Prof. Dr. Gerhard Wolf at the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz – Max Planck Institute, seeks to appoint one Doctoral and one Postdoctoral Position (m/f/d). The KHI is a leading research institute in art and architecture history.
The positions are residential and cannot be held concurrently with any other employment or major fellowship. Candidates will conduct their own research within the framework of the Minerva Fast Track Group, contribute to the group’s activities and intellectual life, and may plan and organize workshops, visits, or other activities with fellow scholars.
Eligibility: a doctoral student enrolled at any university worldwide for the doctoral role; an early‑career researcher for the postdoctoral role (first position after defending the dissertation). Strong interdisciplinary projects are highly desired.
Requirements: the ability to conduct original research, commitment to new insights, willingness to contribute to the group, proficiency in English at a scientific level, and a project proposal that is of high quality and originality.
Salary and benefits will be determined according to a German or Italian contract and will include full privileges of the institute, library access, access to the Photothek, and a private work space.
Funding period: candidates should propose a desired length ranging from several months to three years. The earliest possible starting date is February 2025.
