Job Summary
Reporting to the Value Stream Manager, the role of the production planner in Videndum is to match requirements coming from the market with the production capability and to guarantee the proper service level to the final customer (On Time Delivery), balancing the amount of stock (Working Capital).
It will become the link between the Supply Chain department and the Production department, strongly oriented to customer satisfaction, while considering production needs or constraints (both in terms of capacity and component availability).
Responsibilities & main tasks:
Develop production plans and schedule the production of the work-centers in order to meet customers' requests (On Time Delivery).
Ensure to draw up feasible plans, expedite the arrival of missing components and constantly update production and Customer Service of any delays.
Provide to Customer Service accurate dates of finished product availability.
With the help of the Value Stream Managers, define the production sequence in order to optimize machines' set up and maximize production efficiency.
Balance production keeping the right stock level of semi-finished goods that ensure reactivity and flexibility on fulfilling market demand.
Monitor that production progress/declaration is in line with the production plans.
Manage and address properly all the commercial priorities coming from Customer Service, checking production status and evaluating the feasibility to review the production schedule (in accordance with the Value Stream Manager).
Plan and ensure timely material deliveries in alignment with the production schedule.
Manage supplier relationships, including communication, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.
Define and manage in M3 all the "production exceptions", ensuring timely update and consequently data as accurate as possible.
Maintain M3 parameters, especially the ones related to planning, in order to ensure proper functioning of the system.
Develop & update production KPIs (Service Level – Efficiency – Manufacturing On Time Delivery).
Technical and Soft Skills required:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Proven experience in production planning or manufacturing operations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good knowledge of English (written and spoken).
Good IT skills functional data analysis (i.e. Excel).
Knowledge of ERP systems and planning tools.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
