Hiring: Financial Controller & Operations Specialist – Panakès Partners

Panakès Partners, a leading Venture Capital firm dedicated to the Life Sciences sector, is seeking an experienced Financial Controller & Operations Specialist to join our team in Milan. In this role, you will be at the heart of our funds' operational management, providing key support to the CFO within a dynamic and high-standing environment.
This is a pivotal role within our organization. We are looking for a professional who will take ownership of the administrative and operational management of our funds. The ideal candidate will act as a key internal reference point for financial, regulatory, and compliance matters, ensuring the seamless execution of the fund's lifecycle. We are seeking a profile with a solid background in AIFM’s operations and a deep understanding of closed-end fund dynamics (Private Equity/Venture Capital).
Key Responsibilities:
* Fund Administration & Accounting: Overseeing NAV calculations, independently managing the full cycle of Capital Calls and Distributions, and ensuring precise reconciliation with the Depositary Bank.
* Regulatory & Financial Reporting: regulatory filings for Supervisory Authorities (Bank of Italy/Consob) and coordinating the year-end financial statements for both the Funds and the Management Company (SGR).
* Compliance & AML Management: Anti-Money Laundering (AML) operational workflows, overseeing KYC procedures, and handling investor onboarding in collaboration with counsel.
* Portfolio Monitoring: Advanced analysis of financial performance across portfolio startups and supporting the Fair Value valuation process for holdings.
* Audit & Stakeholder Management: Acting as the primary point of contact for external auditors, controlling functions and the Board of Statutory Auditors, ensuring timely and accurate documentation flow.
* Process Improvement: Assisting the CFO in implementing new management tools and optimizing internal operational procedures.
Who We Are Looking For:
* Experience: At least 4–5 years of experience in administrative/operations roles within an SGR (Private Equity or Venture Capital), or within the \"Financial Services\" practice of a Big4 audit firm.
* Technical Expertise: knowledge of the local supervisory regulation, fund accounting principles, and Italian AML regulations.
* Languages: Full professional proficiency in English (essential for interacting with our international Limited Partners).
* Technical Skills: Advanced mastery of Microsoft Office tools and in particular Excel; familiarity with specific SGR management software and AI tools and integration is a significant plus.
* Soft Skills: High degree of autonomy, methodological precision, and the ability to manage complex deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
