Position Summary
Respond and attend to guest repair requests.
Communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues.
Perform preventive maintenance on kitchen and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, visual inspection, and operating shut-off valves.
Maintain inventory, requisition parts, and communicate daily activities through approved programs.
Display basic knowledge in air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, and energy conservation.
Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall repair, light bulb and filter replacement, and thorough cleanup.
Test and troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical components, and guestroom items.
Use lockout/tagout before maintenance work.
Perform landscaping repairs and general housekeeping inventory duties.
Use computer skills for inputting schedules and temperature changes.
Follow company safety policies, report hazards, complete safety training, store flammable materials, maintain uniform appearance, protect proprietary information, and provide guest service.
Support team, listen, and respond professionally.
Move, lift, carry objects up to 50 pounds, use assistance for heavier tasks, and perform reasonable job duties as requested.
Preferred Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Related Work Experience: Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting.
Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance a plus.
Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
Required Qualifications
License or Certification: Driver's License.
