Scope:

Drive a standard, efficient and compliant delivery of global IT solutions in multiple business areas (R&D, Industrial Operations, Quality, Global Supporting Functions such finance, hr etc).

The role includes but is not limited to the roll-out of global business solutions and the implementation of global templates on a local site.

In this role you will:


IT Applications

1. Collaborate with global partners to the building and maintenance of the IT infrastructure (switch, AP’s, cabling, servers, data centers);

2. Ensure smooth operation processes, tech refresh of printers, PC’s, mobile phones;

3. Collaborate to the delivery a Tech Roadmap for site and drive site/business requirements into central planning and delivery through liaison with Tech Product Teams and Strategy/Portfolio leads;

4. Implement Tech strategies at site(s) – operating model, strategic controls, governance, Tech strategies and has plans to move to strategic standards;

5. Engage with site tiered accountability process and participate in Tech Performance Management processes. Site point of contact for Tech requests and escalations;

6. Support the deployment of global applications (SAP, Documentum, Veeva, global Platforms including Labware, MES, Azure);

7. Collaborate with global business partners to set project priorities and roll-out global applications locally;

8. Develop the site’s application continuity and support model;

9. Implement and execute a continuous improvement program;

10. Implement and execute a technology roadmap and a Digital data and Analytics agenda;

11. Promote GSK available paperless solutions suite apps and dashboards).


IT Risk & Compliance

12. Address IT risks (Business Continuity Planning, IT security, confidential data management…);

13. Ensure all local IT activities are carried out in compliance with global IT standards and procedures;

14. Provide audit support;

15. Manage external resources;

16. Reports to the Senior Mgr Tech Site Owner.

Qualifications & Skills:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

17. IT degree is preferable, otherwise high school degree with good business analysis experience is equally required;

18. Previous experience in the Pharmaceutical industry with a preference for exposure to manufacturing and quality process and application;

19. Experience collaborating with global partners to the building and maintenance of the IT infrastructure (switch, AP’s, cabling, servers, data centers);

20. IT experience in operation processes, tech refresh of printers, PC’s, mobile phones;

21. Experience supporting IT Business applications, IT Risk & Compliance;

22. Experience interacting with and influencing leaders across Sites/Businesses;

23. Experience or knowledge of manufacturing environments with strong understanding of key principles & practices;

24. Experience working effectively in an organization across geographies and cultures;

25. Analytical ability to diagnose problems and to develop practical solutions;

26. Strong Customer service experience with good communication skills, both interpersonal and presentation;

27. Fluent level of English and Italian (both written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

28. Regulatory requirements for IT systems and their operational support;

29. Previous experience in pharmaceutical/biologicals GxP or other highly regulated environment;

30. Previous SAP experience;

31. Knowledge and experience with Process improvement techniques (Impact, SixSigma, LeanSigma).
