You are our new HSE Manager responsible for coordinating and implementing the Health, Safety and Environmental Management System adopted by the Client on site.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate HSE activities on construction sites and/or production facilities.
Verify and update documentation (DVR, DUVRI, POS, PSC).
Monitor compliance with Italian HSE regulations and company procedures on construction sites and plants.
Participate in audits, inspections, technical meetings, and investigations into near‑misses, accidents, and non‑compliance, and propose corrective and preventive actions.
Study the safety documentation provided by the Client (e.g., Safety and Coordination Plan) and the applicable legal requirements in the country where the site is located.
Study and keep updated all site‑specific safety documentation in accordance with the Client HSE System, in cooperation with the Client HSE Team.
Integrate procedures from the Client Health and Safety Management System with requirements established by applicable safety regulations according to local or client law.
Manage and monitor HSE KPIs, reporting, and mandatory documentation.
Manage non‑compliance and improvement plans.
Qualifications and Experience
Education: degree in a technical or scientific field.
Minimum 15 years of experience in HSE roles within metalworking contexts, preferably metallurgical—steelworks—oil and gas—mining; experience in at least two complex construction sites (>500 man‑days) in Italy, Title IV, metalworking sector.
Additional skills: strong expertise in environmental matters.
Interpersonal: ability to interact and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, analyze and solve problems.
Site activities: willingness to supervise the activities of workers directly in the work area and perform documentary checks.
Minimum training: RSPP and CSP/CSE.
Language: Native Italian; English at least B2 (CEFR).
Additional requirements: Italian nationality or substantial experience on construction sites in Italy, significant environmental expertise.
Rotation: Continuous presence on the project with standard vacation days; up to 6 days per week during defined periods as required by site operations.
Additional Expectations
A key role responsible for ensuring the implementation of company health, safety, and environmental policies.
Operate as part of the internal Client HSE Team throughout the assignment, reporting technically to the HSE Team Leader (RSPP) and cooperating with the Site Manager and Commissioning Manager.
