Bozen/Bolzano full-time Institute for Alpine Environment The Eurac-Institute for Alpine Environment performs problem-oriented research of mountain environments in the fields of biodiversity and ecosystem functions, sustainability, landuse and climate change, and natures contribution to people. Tasks: - Review of existing databases and research - Conduct field surveys and assess basic grassland parameters such as plant diversity, productivity and/or soil carbon content - Utilize adequate statistical software to analyze collected data and interpret results - Collaboration and Communication: Work autonomously as well as with team members and communicate research findings through peer reviewed articles and scientific presentations, preferable within a PhD Program Requirements: - Master’s degree (finished or final phase) in (Plant) Ecology or related areas. - Knowledge on alpine plant ecology, diversity and physiology - Good statistical and analytical skills (preferentially sound knowledge in R). - Excellent knowledge of English, plus German or Italian. - Experience in scientific publishing - Good planning and organization skills as well as experience in mountaineering is preferred - Willingness to enrol in related a PhD program We offer: - A full-time position for three years preferable from October/November 2024 onwards. - Involvement in an applied and interdisciplinary research group - An open working culture, personal responsibility and flexible time management - Attractive living and working conditions in the middle of the Alps (Great Place to Work©) How to apply: - Company: Eurac Research- Location: Bozen/Bolzano - Contact person: Niedrist Georg Phone number: 0471 055 317
