Job description: Intercos is looking for a Product Development Specialist to join the Body, Personal Care & Fragrance Business Unit, contributing to the development of truly innovative products or solutions aimed at filling portfolio gaps across body care, personal care, fragrances and ancillary categories. The role will also involve custom projects, developed starting from client briefs.The position is designed for a profile with a hybrid Product Development mindset, able to combine solid technical product understanding with a strong Product Marketing sensitivity, and supports product development across the entire lifecycle: from early ideation and conceptual thinking, to overall oversight and interaction during formulation phases, to the selection of the most appropriate packaging solutions, through industrialization discussions, production, and client presentation, within a highly collaborative and cross-functional working environment.Main ResponsibilitiesSupport product development activities across the full lifecycle, from concept to post-launch follow-up, interacting with development, industrialization and production phases, with progressive responsibility and autonomy.Contribute to the development of product concepts and formulas, working closely with the team to ensure coherence between idea, formulation structure, sensoriality and performance, without carrying out bench formulation activities.Support product development starting from internal and custom client briefs, translating requirements, technical constraints and positioning needs into concrete, feasible and well-aligned product concepts.Support benchmarking and market analysis activities aimed at guiding product development decisions.Prepare technical and product documentation, making complex concepts understandable to different stakeholders and supporting internal alignment and client discussions.Participate in internal and client-facing meetings, contributing clearly to project updates and shared decisions.RequirementsDegree or specialized education specifically focused on the cosmetic industry (e.g. Cosmetic Science & Technology, Cosmetic Industrial Science, Advanced Cosmetic Sciences, specialized master programs in cosmetology).1–5 years of experience in cosmetic product development or related roles, within cosmetic companies, laboratories or similar environments.Solid product & formulation literacy, with interest in textures, sensoriality, product structure and formulation logic.Strong passion for the beauty industry, with active interest in market launches, global trends, retail dynamics and cross-industry influences (e.g. fashion, food, lifestyle).Team-oriented attitude, comfortable working in collaborative, non-siloed environments.Proficient English for professional and international use.A curious, grounded and team-oriented mindset, with aesthetic sensitivity, strong market awareness and a naturally hybrid approach between Product Development and Product Marketing, combined with the willingness to challenge oneself, learn and grow in a fast-paced environment with high standards.
