To meet the growing demand for AWS cloud computing capacity in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) we are now looking for a Commissioning Engineer to join the team. /p h3About the team /h3 pAWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. /p h3Key job responsibilities /h3 ul liHigh, Medium and low voltage power systems /li liGenerators /li liUPS /li liHVAC /li liChilled Water Systems /li liBuilding Management Systems (BMS) /li liElectrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) /li liTesting and balancing /li liPumps and Hydronic systems /li /ul pThe CxE shall provide multi‑discipline input into the scheduling, test script development, designing, and planning of projects. In addition, the CxE will be required to review component submittal packages, lead Factory Witness Testing (FWT), perform system level and integrated system testing. During commissioning, the CxE will continuously audit activities to ensure compliance with environmental, quality, and safety requirements. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for comprehensive weekly reporting of status of all ongoing projects and lessons learned to continually improve the quality of our program. This position will include coverage of multiple inflight projects. /p h3Physical Requirements /h3 ul liWalk job sites in uneven terrain /li liWork at heights and from ladders /li liRegularly walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl /li liCarry objects weighing up to 49 pounds for short distances /li liWork shifts longer than eight hours in duration with potential for night and weekends /li liRespond to off hour emergency calls /li liReach and stretch to position equipment and fixtures while maintaining balance /li liBend or twist the body into unusual positions while working /li liAbility to manipulate small wires and objects easily /li liWork in a noisy environment /li liWork in environments that are colder or hotter than a normal office environment /li liTravel up to 50% may be required /li /ul h3Basic Qualifications /h3 ul liBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field /li liKnowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel /li liExperience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities /li liExperience in commissioning /li liExperience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities /li liNational Craft Certificate in all Electrical, Mechanical or Automation disciplines /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liProfessional Engineer License /li liExperience with building codes and regulations for your region /li liExperience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production /li liExperience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents /li /ul h3Equal Opportunity Employer /h3 pAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
