Amazon Freight Finance is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Finance Manager to join its Transportation Finance team. This role is a key driver in shaping the future of transportation finance, providing high visibility, strategic partnership with Sales, Pricing and Costing organizations, and influencing long‐term business strategy. You will deep dive into business input drivers, complex data pools, and use financial modeling and statistical analysis to guide decisions. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional analytical skills, strong communication, and the ability to navigate ambiguity.
Key Job Responsibilities
* Own shipper‐level Margin Analysis and collaborate with Sales, Pricing and related teams to address margin issues.
* Perform Cost deep dives with the Cost Planning and Execution team, building templates to report weekly, monthly and YTD performance with leadership commentary.
* Partner with cross‐functional teams on cost allocation methodology to ensure accurate financial reporting.
* Identify opportunities to resolve defects proactively and improve, scale, or simplify finance tools across teams and organizations.
* Collaborate with FP&A teams and partner finance groups to integrate the AF plan into Worldwide Operations.
* Resolve complex data integrity issues, improve controls, and support financial risk reduction.
* Educate business partners on financial and non‐financial trade‐offs, making judicious decisions in ambiguous environments.
* Communicate data findings clearly and concisely to diverse audiences, adjusting style as needed.
* Foster constructive dialogues, harmonize conflicting views, and drive decisions through 'disagree and commit' practices.
Day in the Life
Your day involves deep financial analysis, collaborative problem‐solving, and strategic partnership with Operations, Pricing, Product, Sales and cross‐functional teams. You will analyze shipper‐level data, interpret key financial metrics with site leadership, and identify trends that inform financial health. Each day presents unique challenges that require creativity, precision, comfort with ambiguity, and an understanding of financial drivers in a rapidly scaling business.

Basic Qualifications
* 5+ years of experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field.
* BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a highly analytical field (e.G., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) with 5+ years of finance experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years of finance experience.
Preferred Qualifications
* 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, determining root cause and implementing escalation plans.
* 6+ years of delivering accurate, timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that impact business (e.G., savings, operational improvements, customer benefits).
* MBA, CPA, or equivalent advanced finance certification.
* Knowledge of SQL/ETL and experience with large‐scale data mining and reporting tools (e.G., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos).
* Experience with financial systems such as Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards.
* Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range for this position: $95,400.00 – $163,200.00 annually (USA, TX – Irving; USA, WA – Bellevue). The total package includes sign‐on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Compensation is determined based on experience, qualifications and location.
