We are looking for a passionate Insurance Expert to join the General Services Department, located in Venice (VE) -preferably- or Milan (MI).
Strategic oversight of the Group's global insurance portfolio, encompassing the negotiation and optimization of complex risk transfer programs. This position ensures the highest standards of protection and compliance for high-value inventory and international retail operations, mitigating corporate exposure within an elite fashion framework.
Main Responsibilities:
1. High-Value Asset & Inventory Protection
* Global Cargo & Logistics: Oversee specialized All Risks policies covering merchandise (raw materials and finished goods) throughout the entire supply chain—from international transit (Import/Export) to warehousing and store storage.
* Retail Property Management: Negotiate and maintain Property and Business Interruption programs for the global stores network, ensuring bespoke coverage for high-value theft, aesthetic damages, and business continuity.
* Exclusive Events & Exhibitions: Design and coordinate temporary insurance solutions for VIP events, private showcases, and high-profile exhibitions, protecting both physical assets and related Public Liability.
2. Corporate Risk & Liability
* Liability Framework: Manage General and Product Liability (GL/PL) programs, ensuring they meet the stringent requirements of international partners and diverse global jurisdictions.
* Financial Lines & Executive Protection: Review and update Directors & Officers (D&O), Cyber Crime, and Financial Fraud policies to mitigate executive and digital exposure.
3. Claims Management & Technical Analysis
* Complex Claims Handling: Lead the management of high-impact claims (theft, damage, or loss of high-value goods), liaising with specialist loss adjusters and surveyors to ensure swift and favorable settlements.
* Contractual Excellence: Draft and audit insurance contracts, meticulously verifying clauses such as First Loss limits, deductibles, and indemnification triggers.
* Risk Reporting: Maintain accurate analytics on insurance spend, Loss Ratios, and emerging risk trends to support data-driven decision-making for the Board.
Requirements:
* Education: Master's degree in economics, Law, or a related field. A specialized certification in Risk Management is highly regarded.
* Professional Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a Luxury Retail Group or a top-tier International Insurance Broker.
* Specialized Knowledge: Quantitative analytical skills to optimize the Total Cost of Risk (TCoR)
* Languages: Native or professional fluency in English is mandatory for negotiating with international brokers and managing global contracts.
* Discretion & Integrity: Absolute reliability in handling sensitive information regarding stock levels, security protocols, and high-profile claims.
* Negotiation Skills: A proven track record of negotiating favorable terms with global insurers and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
* Resilience: Ability to remain calm and decisive during crisis situations or major loss events.
