Job Purpose MSC Cruises, the world’s third-largest cruise brand and leader in Europe, South America, the Gulf region, and Southern Africa, is seeking a highly skilled IT Principal Architect to join our team in Naples. In this pivotal role, you will lead enterprise-wide IT architecture strategies, ensure compliance with architectural standards, evaluate emerging technologies, and collaborate closely with domain architects. Your expertise will support our ongoing digital transformation and align IT initiatives with business goals. Key Accountabilities Develop and implement comprehensive IT architecture strategies that support MSC Cruises' business objectives. Establish and enforce architectural standards, guidelines, and best practices across all IT domains. Assess emerging technologies to determine their potential impact and value to the organization. Collaborate with domain architects to ensure cohesive and integrated IT solutions. Provide guidance and oversight for major IT projects to ensure architectural alignment and integrity. Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure mutual understanding and successful project outcomes. Maintain up-to-date architectural documentation, including blueprints, roadmaps, and standards. Requirements Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years in IT architecture or related roles, with a proven track record in leading enterprise architecture initiatives. Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of architectural frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman), cloud technologies, microservices, and integration patterns. Compliance Knowledge: Deep understanding of IT governance, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements. Analytical Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred. Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
