Description
On behalf of a client company operating in the space field, we are looking a Mechanical AIT Technician/Engineer for its Satellites & Missions Business Unit in Milano .
The candidate will be working as part of a team on the integration of a Flight Satellite.
The candidate shall guarantee the soundness of the technical approach, in terms of solutions and of implementation.
Your Tasks:
1. Collaborate with the AIT Team on the Mechanical Integration of the structure of the satellite PFM model;
2. Flight equipment integration;
3. Waveguide integration;
4. Flight harness integration;
5. Coax cable integration;
6. Structural component integration;
7. Use of basic hand tools (torque tools, screwdrivers, spanners, measurement tools);
8. Gluing and integration of thermal and mechanical sensors: thermocouples, thermistors, heaters, accelerometers;
9. Support System AIT on the implementation of the MAIT process and related documents;
10. Handling of Satellite and related MGSE, including use of cherry picker, fork lift and crane;
11. Mechanical support during Satellite Environmental Test Campaign;
12. Mechanical support during Satellite Launch Campaign.
Your Qualifications:
13. Has a good background in Mechanical Engineering and Satellite integration;
14. Has worked for some years in the AIT area of Space Systems;
15. Has a good hands-on knowledge of the system engineering process for space projects;
16. Has developed a system-oriented thinking and vision;
17. Has a good hands-on knowledge of CAD tools, preferred NX or Catia;
18. Has a good hands-on knowledge of Office Packet;
19. Has experience/ proven ability working to a very fine tolerance either from working in a clean room environment or high quality/ high value manufacturing areas;
20. You need to have a flexible approach to work as you will be required to work shifts;
21. Must be able to work at height and in a restricted space;
22. Has basic engineering hand skills (filing, drilling, tapping, heli-coil installation);
23. Has skill and certification on flight harness crimping;
24. Familiar using measurement tools such Callipers and Micrometers as well as using torque wrenches;
25. Familiar using glues for aerospace application;
26.
