After one year, the employee will be strongupermanently transferred /u to the construction site of the Koysha Dam, in Ethiopia /strong. /ppThe candidate should have a solid understanding of (1) strongmechanical and hydro-mechanical systems /strong, (2) the principles and practices relevant to these technical fields, and (3) how to strongcollaborate effectively with other technical disciplines /strong involved in the operation of a hydropower facility. /ppHe/she will provide strongmechanical engineering services /strong, including strongtechnical support /strong and supervision within the team, and will be responsible for ensuring technical excellence, supervising teams, and adhering to design, timelines and budgets. /ppstrongMain responsibilities: /strong /pullistrongPrepare and review technical documentation /strong, including schematics, blueprints, and reports in coordination with the suppliers/sub-contractors, in compliance with Employer Requirements, design criteria, etc. /liliProviding ongoing strongengineering support to the project /strong to address open items of detailed design. /liliAttending and providing strongsupport during design review meetings /strong with the Project Stakeholders including verify design review responses before they are issued back. /liliCollaborate with electrical engineers, civil engineers, and other specialists. /lilistrongPerforming QA/QC inspections /strong. Review/develop strongInspection and Test Plans (ITP) and commissioning support /strong for mechanical scope of work (incl. factory acceptance tests, site acceptance tests). /liliCoordinate and participate in strongfactory inspections and testing activities /strong. /lilistrongCoordinate design interfaces /strong with Civil, Architecture, Electromechanical, Electrical Project Engineers and other discipline leads. /liliClose strongcoordination with other construction and Commissioning departments /strong during execution, especially erection and commissioning of Mechanical equipment (Hydro mechanical, turbine and Generator, Balance of Plant electrical and mechanical equipment, piping, penstock). /liliKeeping a strongclose eye on work progress /strong and providing strongreports /strong, with a focus on identifying any gaps or issues that may necessitate additional scope of work. /li /ulpstrongQualifications Skills: /strong /pulliDegree in mechanical engineering or a related field. /lilistrongMinimum of 5 years of experience /strong in mechanical engineering, preferably in the power generation sector; experience in strongtechnical inspections /strong is a plus. /lilistrongStrong understanding of mechanical systems /strong, including turbines, pumps, and generators. /liliWillingness to undertake strongmid-term assignments abroad /strong and to strongrelocate to the Koysha Dam construction site after one year /strong strongat the Rome headquarters /strong. /lilistrongAdvanced knowledge of English /strong, both written and spoken; knowledge of Italian is a plus. /liliProficiency in strongCAD software /strong and strongother engineering tools /strong. /liliKnowledge of project and task management tools. /liliKnowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements, safety protocols and environmental regulations. /liliAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. /liliAbility to manage a complex project, work to deadlines and establish procedures for monitoring and reporting. /liliStrong interpersonal and communication skills including in a culturally diverse or multi-disciplinary environment. /liliWillingness to work in various environmental conditions and perform physical tasks as needed. /li /ulpWebuildis an Equal Opportunity Employer.
