Auxologico is seeking a Postdoctoral researcher in the Laboratory of Cardiovascular Genetics to lead and supervise genetic activities within the lab. The successful candidate will work on an international project funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation, in collaboration with Professor Michael Toft Overgaard at the University of Aalborg. The project aims to elucidate the functional effects of rare genetic variants in calmodulin using patient-specific models based on human induced pluripotent stem cells. The candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team specializing in clinical cardiology, human genetics, electrophysiology, and stem cell biology. Main responsibilities include: Investigating the functional consequences of calmodulin mutations using patient-specific models, integrating molecular, electrophysiological, pharmacological, and live imaging data; Developing multicellular patient-specific models and organoids of calmodulinopathies; Contributing to research publications; Supervising PhD students and supporting laboratory operations; Presenting research findings at national and international conferences. Qualifications: PhD in biology, biotechnology, molecular medicine, genetics, or related fields; Strong publication record; Ability to work independently; Proficiency in written and spoken English; Interest in cardiac arrhythmias and/or genetics is desirable. Preferred skills: Experience with live imaging techniques; Expertise in molecular biology and assays (e.g., qPCR, cell sorting, immunostaining); Experience with patch clamp electrophysiology and/or MEAs. Knowledge of cell culture, especially human pluripotent stem cell culture and differentiation, is advantageous. Contract details: Initial contract for 1 year, with potential extension up to 4 years based on progress. Salary will be commensurate with experience. J-18808-Ljbffr
