The Operations Manager will provide regular and appropriate performance informations to STERIS Managers/Director and ensure compliance to all relevant Company and legal regulations.DutiesEnsure safe operations of the plant and company by development of an effective safety culture, enforcement of safety practices in compliance to internal and external requirements and regulations.In conjunction with the (Senior) Sales Managers ensure the effective management of existing and new Customers and drive Customer satisfaction.Provide Leadership to ensure continuous improvement of business processes and activities in line with STERIS world class safety objectives and the Quality management system.Manage and develop 20+ staff, allocate resources and assign specific duties to achieve pre- determined commercial and business objectives for the business in the plantEnsure that the business operates within and towards the published STERIS Corporate vision and global objectives, including LEAN, 5S, Sustainability and One Team One Goal strategies.Apply to STERIS Values, culture and ethos managing the business, it's Customers and staff.Education DegreeBachelor's DegreeSkilss & Required ExperienceDemonstrated team leadership experience, even at an early career level.Proven technical capabilityProven leadership qualities (leading by example)Acute awareness of the importance of safety to the businessWilling to go the extra mile for our Customers (Customer First, always)Good understanding of the principle of continuous improvementWell-developed understanding of risk and risk avoidanceExcellent communication skills (both oral and written)Good understanding of the local business market.
