Who will you be working with?You will work for Annax, a Wabtec site specialized in passenger information systems for long and short distance trains, trams and subways. You will report to the Systems Engineering Manager and work with an international team based in Italy, Switzerland and Germany.What will you make a difference?As a System Engineer you will shape how our onboard Passenger Information Systems, Audio/PA and Video systems behave, communicate and integrate into modern rail vehicles. You will be the technical reference for system behavior, interfaces, network architecture and product performance.What will your typical day look like?Develop system-level specifications, interfaces and architectures, ensuring all components—hardware, embedded devices, audio/video subsystems, network equipment—work together reliably.Guide others: support System Project Engineers with technical insights, helping them take the right decisions and manage complexity.Shape how the product evolves: identify improvements, challenge assumptions, and contribute to the product roadmap with a hands-on, pragmatic mindset.Support integration and validation: assist during lab and on-vehicle activities, providing in-depth troubleshooting and ensuring the final solution meets quality and customer expectations.What do we want to know from you?A background in electronics, embedded systems, or mechatronics+6 years of experience in system engineering or networked systems, embedded devices or system integrationFamiliarity with audio systems, wiring diagrams, or electrical interfacesCuriosity for cybersecurity and system design principlesProfessional knowledge of Italian and English (German is considered a plus)Experience in mobility, transportation, automotive or railway is a plusStrong problem-solving skillsAutonomy, proactivity and ownershipExcellent communication skillsWhat do we offer?Regular full-time contract, CCNL MetalmeccanicoSmart working: 2 days per weekTraining and professional grow
