This role involves system design, performance analysis, and integration of cutting-edge optical technology for space and ground applications. You will work closely with teams across engineering disciplines to deliver high-performance communication solutions. Key Responsibilities:\nDesign and develop optical ground stations for laser communication and satellite laser ranging.\nDefine system architecture, requirements, and performance targets.\nManage system interfaces and oversee integration and verification.\nConduct simulations and performance analysis.\nPrepare technical documentation and coordinate with subcontractors.\nSupport customer interactions and ensure project goals are met. What You’ll Need:\nMaster’s degree or PhD in Engineering or Physics.\n2+ years of experience in optical systems for laser communication.\nKnowledge of free-space optical communication, satellite laser ranging, or laser beam propagation.\nProficiency in Matlab, Python, or Octave for simulations.\nStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a team.\nGood command of English. Preferred Skills:\nExperience with adaptive optics, laser physics, photonics, optical detection, or tracking systems.\nFamiliarity with optical communication system design and simulation tools.\nKnowledge of Zemax for optical system modeling.
