In this pivotal role, you will manage a multidisciplinary team, ensuring the achievement of corporate objectives in terms of quality, timelines, and costs. /p h3Key Responsibilities Tasks: /h3 ul liSupervise, lead, and develop a team of Flight (Embedded) Software engineers. /li liManage technical and engineering tasks based on team members’ skills and according to the company priorities. /li liSupport the talent acquisition, recruitment and onboarding of new hires. /li liIdentify growth opportunities, training needs and promote the professional development career of the Flight Software engineers part of your Group. /li liAccountable of the continuous improvement of processes, tools and performance, also through the coordination of team retrospectives, lesson learnt and return of experience. /li liProcesses/Procedures/Standard definition, improvement and maintenance. /li liScouting, identification and selection of tools for the Flight Software discipline. /li liDefine, maintain, monitor and dissemination of the Flight Software group KPIs. /li /ul h3Project Planning And Management /h3 ul liLiaising with Project Manager and Project Leader to support project activities planning and execution, ensuring Flight Software group engineering capability is available with respect to the project needs. /li liAct as the technical owner for any topic related to the Flight Software engineering processes, including contribute/review of technical specifications, technical and operational risks, and project goals. /li /ul h3Technical Coordination /h3 ul liOversee the design and development of real-time mission critical and safety critical firmware and software applications. /li liConsult with suppliers, customers, and external partners to define requirements and provide technical support. /li liIdentify and proactively communicate technical and programmatic risks and challenges, developing mitigation strategies and implementing rapid, effective solutions. /li /ul h3Required Skills /h3 ul liProven experience in managing technical teams and complex projects. /li liIn-depth knowledge of space industry regulations, standards (e.g. ECSS), and applicable certifications in the Flight Software discipline. /li liExcellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. /li liFull professional proficiency in the English language is mandatory. /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liMaster’s degree in computer engineering, electronic engineering, aerospace engineering or related fields. /li liAt least 10 years of experience in leadership roles within the embedded software discipline applied in the aerospace sector. /li /ul h3Hiring Process /h3 ul liApplication review: We go through all applications, but we’ll only reach out to candidates who closely match what we’re looking for.
