We are currently seeking a Buyer, reporting directly to Purchasing Section Head to join our Sourcing & Procurement team based in Rome, Italy. About the Job As a member of the Piping Purchasing Section, you will be responsible for the purchasing of the Piping Components (e.g.: pipes, fittings, flanges, valves, gaskets, bolting, filters, manifolds, traps, sight glasses, sampling panels, piping miscellanea in general) for the material requisitions allocated to you on our international Projects. _ Under the guidance and supervision of Senior Buyers and your Section Head, you will be responsible to place your purchase orders (POs) within the given budget and schedule. To ensure this, you will: _ Prepare bidder lists adapted to the scope of supply Setup and manage the enquiries in T.EN’s purchasing tool Receive bids, shortlist vendors, carry out commercial and contractual negotiations, issue Commercial Bid Tabulation (CBT) with supplier recommendation, Place the PO and manage modifications / PO amendments up to PO close-out Interface and collaborate with different T.EN departments including Engineering, Project, Legal, Compliance, Cost Control, Planning, Vendor Performance Management, Transportation Achieve the most effective purchasing process and identify cost and schedule saving opportunities.- We are looking for motivated individuals with: An unfailing commitment to ethics and compliance Developed organizational and communication abilities The capability to work and deliver under pressure A sense of curiosity and willingness to learn A target-orientated mindset, paying particular attention to the respect of deadlines _Proficiency with IT tools- We offer you not only a job, but an inspiring journey in a truly global environment where you team up to break down boundaries thanks to the innovation, creativity and pioneer spirit which drive our people. About You We’d love to hear from you, and in addition to a mandatory fluency in English, here-below are our preferential requirements: Bachelor ’s Degree in Engineering (preferably Chemical, Material, Management) Up to 3 years in the purchasing function Experience in contractual negotiation What’s next?
