Customer Project Manager DI/IGT
Job Description
Customer Project Manager: In this role you will be responsible for the effective execution of the Order Realization Process (ORP) and active involvement in Order Acquisition Process (OAP). The Customer Project Manager is overall responsible for delivering projects within DI-IGT businesses on time, on budget, and to required standard.
Your role:
Support Order Acquisition Process (OAP) - Site planning
- Work closely together with the sales team / Key Account Manager to support the OAP
- Site assessments to understand the local situation and the real customer need
- Trigger site planning to create a site preparation package to get upfront insight into room layout and technical specifications
- Seamless interface between customer and business center aiming to achieve "right first time" room planning and support on-time delivery
- Create project plans / budgets and perform risk assessment during the OAP to meet customer needs and to create a beneficial quote
Order Realization Process (ORP) - Installation Project
- Be the main interface during the project with the customer
- Create project and milestone dates/planning in a project management tool (PSA)
- Ensure that all required materials, resources, and activities are ordered, planned, and executed
- Weekly review of the installation project plan with all stakeholders
- Manage issues according to the escalation process
- Manage risks and ensure that the project stays within budget and on time
- Organize the execution of the actual installation and required user training
- Ensure customer acceptance (and signed handover document)
- Escalate deviations from plan / budget to Supply Chain Management
- Able to support full‐multi modality projects
You're the right fit if you have:
Education and Certifications
- Master or bachelor degree or an equivalent combination of related experience and technical education
- Project management experience; CAPM or PMP certification preferred
Professional Experience
- At least 2 years of experience in equipment installation projects (B2B) in the healthcare industry
- Proven track record of leading project implementations or team coordination of both internal and external resources
Technical Knowledge
- Expertise in site preparation and planning for various modalities, including knowledge of product specifications and room requirements such as supporting clinical workflows
- Understanding of supply chain processes
Skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Effective communication and customer interaction skills (both phone and face‐to‐face)
- Proficient in tools such as Outlook, Word, Excel, MS Project, and other Windows‐based applications
- Fluent in English (verbal and written), plus the local language

- Tenacity and resourcefulness in assessing and resolving problems
How we work together
Required to travel mostly to customer sites and other offices when appropriate. We are looking for candidates based in Rome. The geographical scope will be district center.
