Expert Mechanical Engineer – MilanWe are seeking an Expert Mechanical Engineer for the Milan site, to be involved in major projects in the field of sustainable mobility technologies. As an Expert Mechanical Engineer, you will be involved in multidisciplinary innovation projects. You will report to the Head of Technology for your job organization and professional growth, and to the Chief of Technology for the progress of your work on the different projects.Main Areas Of ActivitiesCollect and document technical requirements and perform effort estimatesModeling and validation of parts, components, assemblies and complete products in the 3D CAD system based on requirementsMechanical dimensioning and estimate mechanical performance of componentsScout and identify OTS components and tools and interact with external suppliersRapid prototyping supplier management and apply small mechanical adjustments to partsSupport in industrialization and transfer to manufacturing activitiesRequired Background And Technical SkillsTechnical CompetenciesProven working and practical knowledge of mechanical dimensioning methods and techniques and how they apply and impact a finished product's features and performanceGood manual skills and knowledge of the main mechanical workshop toolsGood knowledge of industrial manufacturing processes of mechanical partsKnowledge of design for manufacturing methods (TRIZ, QFD)Working knowledge of industrial manufacturing processes of plastic parts (Injection moulding, thermoforming, blow moulding, design of moulds, etc.) is a plusToolsVery good knowledge of 3D CAD software with full operational independence (Solidworks Premium and Solidworks Simulation is a strong plus)Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Other Skills And Required CharacteristicsAbility to work in a team, team building and leading, strong attitude to collaborative problem solving, self‑learning abilities, passion for mechanical engineering and willingness to deep dive into the discipline, obsession with detailAvailable for business trips in Italy and abroad#J-18808-Ljbffr
