Ph3Mission /h3pThe role is within the Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) team, which is a part of the Structure Systems Tech. area group within the Engineering Innovation Directorate. The role is, under the supervision of a E3 Chief Project and Subject Matter Expert, to support new design and certification activities in the frame of E3 discipline mainly dealing with Intra-system Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), HIRF (High Intensity Radiated Field) and IEL (Indirect Effect of Lightning) for both new type designs and modifications to already certified LHD products. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliSupport the E3 qualification and certification of equipment and systems, from the technical specification and qualification test plan definition to the witnessing of the tests at international qualified labs. /liliPerform E3 Certification Test activities on Helicopter or organize and then technical supervise their execution by external Testing Laboratories. /liliCooperate with other technical areas like Avionic System Engineering and Development / Electrical Installations / Electrical Systems / Airframes, to reach a concurrent E3 design showing compliance HIRF/IEL requirements at Helicopter Level. /liliGenerate E3 Test Plans/Report for each single sub-discipline to support the certification activities. /liliSupport the E3 design and certification activities at aircraft level by exploit numerical simulation. /li /ulh3Qualifications /h3pHard skills /pulliMaster Degree in Telecommunication Engineering or Electrical / Electronic. /liliA basic background in E3/ EMC including basic knowledge of Radio Frequency Energy coupling mechanisms. /liliBasic Knowledge on Antennas and Propagation Theory. /liliBasic experience of creating and editing project documentations (Minute of meeting, progress report, some experience in develop engineering technical documentation). /liliCompetence in data entry, analysis, visualization and report preparation using standard software applications i.e. Microsoft Office Word Excel. /liliBasic skills in Computer Aided Electromagnetic simulation (CST preferable, Ansys HFSS, Altair Feko). /liliFluent in English both spoken and written (B2, level Upper intermediate). /li /ulpSoft skills /pulliBasic skills to own problems and provide pragmatic solutions to engineering problems. /liliAbility to communicate equally across multi-functional and multi-geographical teams, and with colleagues at all levels. /liliAbility to take a proactive approach on your project, and in dealing with day-to-day tasks. /liliAbility to take a proactive approach on the use of simulation tool to explore their maximum capabilities, scalability and efficiency. /liliAnalytical abilities and problem-solving, with a keen attention to details. /li /ulpNice to have /pulliPHD in Applied Electromagnetic or an Experimental Master Thesis on a project carried out by using EM simulation approach. /liliProven ability to manage complex tasks in a structured way (sub-task splitting, task planning, external dependencies, priority definition). /liliBasic Knowledge of Signal Theory. /liliKnowledge of aerospace standards, e.g. DO-160, DEF STAN 59-411, MIL STD 461. /liliFamiliarity with aerospace guidance material e.g. ED-81/AC20-136, ED-107/AC20-158, ED-13. /li /ulpSeniority: Primary Location: IT - Varese - Cascina CostabrAdditional Locations: Contract Type: PermanentbrHybrid Working: International, multicultural, innovative, technological. /ppLeonardo always wants to expand its talent pool, here you can find the right opportunity for you. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
