You will teach the Ontario Curriculum ensuring the program is relevant, engaging, and fit for purpose. Ensure school policies are understood and followed consistently. Your Profile – Education & Training Bachelor of Education degree (Ontario or equivalent). Qualified to teach middle school students in English. First language English speaker. Your Profile – Experience Proven experience teaching middle school. Demonstrates creativity and passion for teaching with a strong work ethic. Experience with innovative teaching and learning practices. Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem‑solving, negotiation and mediation skills. Commitment to the mission and vision of the school, the academic and co‑curricular directions. Enthusiastic, energetic, and able to nurture unique learning experiences for students. Able to thrive in a collaborative, flexible and supportive team environment. Commitment to safeguarding and equality; commitment to maintaining confidentiality. High level of teaching, communication and presentation skills. Experience in an international setting is an asset. Extracurricular experience is an asset. The School Canadian School of Florence is a K‑12 school with students from 3 to 18. The lower primary campus is in San Domenico, Fiesole; the upper primary campus (Grades 4 & 6) and middle school campus (Grades 7‑8) are also located nearby. The senior school (Grades 9‑12) is in Florence, less than 2 km away from the junior school. Across all campuses, courses are taught in English (except for Italian and French) based on the Canada (Ontario) curriculum; the school also prepares students for the Italian national exams as a “paritaria” school.
