Overview Do you have a passion for working with individuals with disabilities and special needs? Consider being a Camp Counselor with Easterseals Florida Camp Challenge! Our fully accessible camp provides adolescents and adults with disabilities and special needs a getaway filled with laughter, friendship and fun! Our camp counselors are a big part of making that happen.
Responsibilities
Assist campers in recreational activities such as sports, nature, the challenge course, arts and crafts, swimming, talent night, and making s'mores at campfires.
Assist with the personal care needs of some of our campers, such as helping with meals, bathing, dressing, toileting, sensory needs, and managing difficult behaviors.

Sunday, June 7 through Saturday, June 13, 2026 (Summer Staff Training Week)
Sunday, June 14 through Saturday, June 20, 2026 (Summer Session 1)
Sunday, June 21 through Friday, July 3, 2026 (Summer Session 2)
Sunday, July 5 through Saturday, July 11, 2026 (Summer Session 3)
Sunday, July 12 through Saturday, July 18, 2026 (Summer Session 4)
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED, or one to three months related experience and/or training, and great communication skills
Must be at least 18 years old
Compassion, energy, and creativity
Ability to assist in the physical care of campers including lifting and transferring
CPR and First Aid are preferred; training will be provided
Ability to work as a member of a team
Being ready and able to work one of the hardest, yet one of the most rewarding, jobs in your life
