Ph3About the job /h3 pIn this role, the BID Engineer will be serving customers to identify needs and designing solutions to meet air cooler requirements. Providing direct support to customers, including complex quotations and supporting remaining sales team in new sales opportunities. /p pThis position will be located in bSuisio, Italy. /b /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liReceives inquiries from potential and current customers, reviewing relevant inquiry documents and specifications. Understand customer drivers to make the right proposals. Attend meetings with customers and consultants, when required. /li liUses Alfa Laval proprietary software and industry standard software to size and price air coolers to meet the specific needs of potential customers. /li liProvides written proposals that accurately describe the coolers and comments resulting from spec review. Ensure competitive, accurate and timely formulation of quotation documents, in coordination with relevant internal stakeholders. /li liAssist sales by responding to technical inquiries in a timely manner. /li liUse the CRM tool and other tools in a consistent and qualitative way, to support the sales process and decisions. /li liAssists Manager with other tasks as needed. /li liIdentify areas for improvement to increase sales efficiency and competitiveness. Actively consulting Customer, Sales and Operations colleagues, also via lesson learned. /li liSupport and interact with sales companies globally. /li liDrive development of tools, templates for bids. /li liFollows all safety policies and company-wide safety requirements; encourages action assuring safe behavior; confronts unsafe behavior and conditions proactively and positively. /li liComplies with all company policies and procedures. /li liConducts themselves in a considerate, professional, cooperative, and helpful manner toward fellow employees, customers, vendors, and visitors. /li /ul h3What you know /h3 ul liEngineering degree in Mechanical or Chemical preferred. /li liMinimum 2 years of experience in the field of quotation preparation, project management or application engineer /li li1 yrs. experience working with heat exchangers or pressure vessels is a plus /li liDetailed-oriented with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment. /li liExcellent verbal and written communication skills to speak with coworkers and customers on a regular basis. /li liExcellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and operations. /li liBasic knowledge of API, ASME, PED, and other pressure vessel codes a plus. /li liExperience with engineering calculation software. /li liExperience with MS Office Suite. /li liCollaborative, solution-oriented approach with strong oral and written communication skills. /li /ul h3What’s in it for you? /h3 pAt Alfa Laval, we carefully consider a wide range of factors to determine your total compensation package.
