One of the most important large-scale retail groups is seeking aGroup Quality Director.He/She will oversee all aspects of quality and safety within the food manufacturing/food retail/food production environment, to ensure compliance with regulations (Italian and international law) and with customer expectations.The role requires strong technical knowledge and leadership experience.Key responsibilities:Quality Management: Lead the entire quality function, including setting long-term testing strategies, implementing quality frameworks, and overseeing the Quality Management System (e.G., HACCP).Compliance: Ensure all products and operations meet health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.Team Leadership: Manage and develop the quality assurance team to ensure product development activities meet high quality standards.Stakeholder Collaboration & External Partnerships: Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, R&D, Marketing, and Innovation teams to support new product development and ensure quality integration.Oversee the performance of suppliers and co-packers to ensure compliance with companyguidelines and expectations.Manage consumer and customer complaint processes and provide escalation support for critical issues.Lead engagement with external stakeholders, including auditors, regulatory bodies, and third-party partners.Process Improvement: Oversee operational efficiency and quality control across all stages of production and distribution.Risk Management: Report on quality-related risks and compliance status to leadership.Required qualifications:Education: A degree in a scientific discipline such as Food Science, Chemistry, or Biochemistry is required.Experience: A minimum of 10 years’ experience in an executive quality role, including team management, is required.Language: Fluency in both Italian and English.Place of work: Veneto (Italy)Applicants who meet all the required qualifications may send their résumé/CV, including the required privacy consent, to feliciani@robertson-associates.com
