Fondazione Chips-IT is looking, for its Pavia office, for a "Project Manager, European Grants" to become part of a dynamic team with extensive international experience. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to the growth of the circuit design and microelectronics sector in Italy. As a key contributor, you will be instrumental in managing our portfolio of EU-funded projects and insure their timely and effective execution.
Special provisions
* The position is a fixed-term contract for 3 years, linked to running projects.

Key Responsibilities
* Support the definition of the projects before submission by contributing to their detailed planning, defining work plans, deliverables, milestones, and resource allocation.
* Support the negotiation and finalization of grant agreements with funding agencies and consortium partners together with the director of International Relations and Partnerships and the Legal department.
* Organize and facilitate project kick-off meetings.
* Oversee the day-to-day operational management of assigned project/s, ensuring timely and cost effective execution of activities.
* Coordinate and facilitate communication and collaboration among consortium partners (internal and external).
* Monitor project progress against objectives, identifying and addressing potential deviations or risks.
* Manage project reporting and documentation ensuring efficient information flow.
* Facilitate regular project meetings and steering committee sessions.
* Collaborate to the financial management of the project together with the Finance group.
* Oversee the planning and execution of dissemination and communication activities as per project agreements.
* Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks (technical, financial, legal, operational) that could impact project success.
* Provide internal training and guidance to project teams on grant management procedures and compliance.
* Participate to project meetings and reviews in relation to the CHIPS-IT’s role and responsibilities
Required Qualifications
* Master's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field such as Project Management, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, European Studies, or similar.
* Minimum of 3 years of proven professional experience in managing EU-funded projects (e.g., Horizon Europe, Chips JU, H2020, …), covering the full project management from proposal Kick off to final reporting. Experience with financial reporting will be a plus.
* In-depth knowledge of EU funding programs administrative, legal, and financial rules and procedures (e.g., Grant Agreement, reporting guidelines).
* Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Gantt charts, risk registers, collaboration platforms).
* Excellent command of English, both written and spoken (C1/C2 level).
* Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills, with acute attention to detail and accuracy.
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively coordinating diverse, multicultural teams.
* Proven problem-solving abilities and a proactive, results-oriented approach.
* High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Quality Assurance, committed to ensuring project deliverables meet or exceed quality standards.
* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
* Experience with dissemination and exploitation activities for research outcomes.
* Teamwork, capacity to work collaboratively with others to achieve a shared goal.
* Time Management, the skill of prioritizing tasks and using time efficiently to meet deadlines.
