We are looking for Operational Support Expert to join our Blades Process Engineering team at the Vestas factory in Taranto. These roles will support two key manufacturing areas: Handling & Logistics and Finish & Paint. These positions are ideal for engineers with around 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or process improvement environment, who are ready to grow their careers in a global renewable energy company. Responsibilities As an Operational Support Expert, you will work directly with the factory teams to support, analyze, and improve production processes. You will help solve day-to-day operational issues, implement improvements, and ensure that processes run efficiently and safely. You’ll be part of a team that directly supports production, working alongside experts in tooling, training, quality, and engineering to continuously improve our factory performance in the areas of: Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost. - Support and improve processes in either Handling & Logistics or Finish & Paint areas. - Analyze current operations and identify areas for improvement. - Create and maintain plans for implementing improvements. - Support the implementation of changes through Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) - formal documents used to manage updates to processes. - Participate in or lead small improvement projects. - Act as a point of contact for urgent production issues, helping to solve them quickly and effectively. - Use structured problem-solving tools, including: 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) - ApplyLean Manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency. - Work closely with cross-functional teams and spend time on the factory floor to understand and resolve real issues. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar. - Around 2-3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, production support, or process improvement. - Basic knowledge of Lean tools and structured problem-solving (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA). - Experience in continuous improvement activities. - English language skills for daily communication in an international team.
