About the Position
We are expanding our network of professional managers with Partita IVA to support Temporary Management projects.
The Commodity Manager will work closely with the client's Purchasing function, defining and managing sourcing strategies for assigned categories, optimizing costs, quality, and timelines, and developing a structured and competitive supplier base.
Key Responsibilities
Define the purchasing strategy for assigned commodities (carpenteria, lavorazioni meccaniche, and electrical part)
Select, evaluate, and qualify suppliers, ensuring alignment with expected standards
Negotiate commercial and contractual conditions
Implement cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement
Analyze technical and economic offers, supporting internal technical functions
Monitor supplier performance (quality, delivery times, competitiveness)
Collaborate with technical, quality, and production offices for product development
Manage supply chain issues, criticality, and recovery plans
Qualifications
Active Partita IVA or availability to open it soon
Consolidated experience in industrial purchasing
Solid knowledge of mechanical processing and carpenteria
Preferable experience in purchasing electrical components/cabling
Ability to read technical drawings
Good knowledge of English
Availability to work at the client's office in the Province of Como
Project Details
Availability required: preferably immediate
