The role involves close collaboration with internal teams and project partners, supporting reporting, financial tracking, and administrative processes, and ensuring compliance with project timelines, contractual requirements, and donor regulations. /p pThe mission of the role is to contribute to the overall success of projects across their full life cycle, providing support during both pre-award and post-award phases, from proposal development to execution. The Project Manager will work to ensure the timely delivery of work plans, sound financial management, accurate reporting, and successful audits, acting as a strategic and operational liaison across the Foundation to align project management practices with CMCC’s strategic objectives and maximize project impact, in line with internal guidelines and directives. /p h3RESPONSIBILITIES /h3 ul liPlanning, coordinating, and monitoring project activities to ensure timely achievement of milestones and deliverables /li liManaging project timelines, deadlines, and resources efficiently /li liMonitoring project budgets, tracking expenditures, and supporting financial reporting and compliance. /li liIdentifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks /li liEnsuring compliance with contractual, legal, and funding requirements /li liPreparing and contributing to management-related deliverables and reports /li liCoordinating with consortium partners, supporting communication and collaboration /li liFollowing up with donors and funding agencies on reporting, documentation, and requirements /li liSupporting the scientific team in pre-project activities, including proposal preparation and project design /li liMaintaining accurate project documentation and supporting internal project administration /li /ul h3REQUIREMENTS /h3 ul liMinimum Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., project management, MBA, economics, political science, or similar). /li liProven experience in project management, preferably with EU-funded or publicly funded projects. /li liExperience in financial management, including budget monitoring, expenditure tracking, and reporting and compliance support. /li liStrong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. /li liExcellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal teams and external partners. /li liProactive problem-solving skills and ability to anticipate and manage challenges. /li liAdvanced knowledge of the English language (written and spoken). /li liVery good command of the Office suite and IT project management tools. /li /ul h3DESIRABLE / ADDITIONAL ASSETS /h3 ul liExperience with Horizon Europe or previous EU Framework Programmes /li liFamiliarity with project management and financial reporting tools /li liExperience in research or academic environments /li liExperience in supporting pre-project activities, such as proposal preparation and budgeting /li liKnowledge of consortium management and donor relations /li liKnowledge in scientific disciplines /li /ul h3DURATION, COMPENSATION BENEFITS /h3 ul liPlease note that this opportunity will be issued both internally and externally. /li liThe position will be based in Lecce at CMCC headquarters. /li liThe appointment period will be of 12 months starting as soon as possible, renewable pending positive evaluation, with a gross annual salary range based on qualification and working experience and competitive with major research centres in Europe. /li liWelfare package, for minimum 12 months contract. /li liFlexible working time as per internal policies. /li liSupport during the immigration process, if needed. /li /ul h3PROTECTED CATEGORY /h3 pBelonging to legally protected categories (ex L. 68/99) will constitute a preferential condition. /p pSome fiscal benefits could be applied for repatriated workers or foreign researchers/professors, having the requirements defined by Dlgs 147/2015 (for repatriates) or Dl 78/2010 (for foreigners). /p pCMCC is an equal‑opportunity employer.
