Job Overview
Pop Mart is looking for a Legal Specialist to support our Italian operations.
Based in Milan, Italy, and reporting directly to the Legal Manager for the Italian region, this role will focus on day-to-day legal support for the Italian entity and all of its business partners, as a versatile and operational position, ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with the business, handling vendor contracts, supporting marketing and retail activities, and conducting legal research, while progressively developing their skills in an international and fast-paced environment.
What You Will Achieve
Legal support for Italian operations:
Draft, review and assist in the negotiation of standard commercial and vendor agreements, NDAs, service contracts, construction agreements and other legal documents for the Italian business.
Provide initial legal review and negotiation support on real estate related documentation (LOI, lease agreements, general contractor agreements etc.) for the Italian business.
Support the Legal Manager in managing the internal contract approval process and maintaining organized legal archives.
Provide legal support to internal teams (retail, marketing, operations) on day-to-day questions, escalating issues when needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (local, regional, and Group) to understand business needs and provide practical, commercially-sound legal solutions.
Legal research & compliance:
Conduct legal research on Italian legal topics relevant to the business, including consumer law, advertising and marketing compliance, product compliance, data protection (GDPR), and retail-related regulations.
Assist with the validation of marketing campaigns, promotions, and communications from a legal and regulatory perspective.
Support the implementation of Group policies and compliance standards within the Italian entity, under the supervision of the Legal Manager.
Assist with administrative and regulatory matters (e.g. basic licensing, permits, SCIA applications), coordinating with external advisors when required.
Corporate & IP:
Provide support on corporate housekeeping matters for the Italian entity (basic filings, documentation, governance records).
Liaise with the IP Counsel for Southern Europe on intellectual property matters relating to Italy, including trademarks and other IP rights.
Assist in the coordination with external counsels and internal teams on IP-related topics, ensuring alignment with Group IP strategy and local requirements.
What You Will Need
Law degree (\"Laurea Magistrale in Giurisprudenza\" or equivalent); post-graduate studies (e.g. Master/LLM/MBA) are a plus.
2-4 years of relevant legal experience, ideally in-house in a multinational enviroment or in a law firm supporting commercial or retail clients.
Solid understanding of Italian contract law, commercial law, consumer law and corporate matters, data privacy (GDPR), and relevant industry regulations.
Strong legal research and analytical skills, with the ability to work autonomously on assigned matters while ensuring clear, timely reporting and alignment with the Legal Manager.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Positive attitude, commercially astute, and results-oriented approach, with a strong commitment to the company's values and mission.
Excellent command of English and Italian (both written and spoken) is a must.
Proficient in legal software and technology tools, as well as Microsoft Office suite.
