Project Manager, Creative Operations | MIK x Spotify Advertising
Parental Leave Cover [August 2026 - February 2027] 6 months fixed term
MIK x Spotify Advertising is seeking a contract Project Manager to join Spotify's IT Creative Operations team for a 6-month parental leave cover. We work collaboratively with brands and agencies to inspire, create, and scale creativity with Spotify-first thinking.
In this role, you will lead production for top clients, optimise workflows, and partner with external creative vendors and internal cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable creative solutions.
You will play a key role in supporting Spotify’s Sales teams by overseeing the end-to-end production of ad campaigns across digital, video, audio, and podcast formats. You will also identify opportunities to improve internal processes and drive operational efficiency. This role requires a proactive problem-solver who can balance client expectations with scalable production realities.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in ad production (audio experience is a plus) and operational strategy, with a proven ability to navigate complex workflows. You are confident in interpreting and communicating nuanced feedback across clients, podcast partners, internal stakeholders, and production vendors.
This role reports to a London-based senior Project Manager on Creative Operations (part of Spotify’s Creative Lab).
What You’ll Do
* Lead end-to-end production for key accounts – providing strategic guidance on creative, leading project planning and client communication, and driving long-term partnership success.
* Serve as the production lead for ad campaigns, including leading kick-offs, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing client-facing assets and materials, and delivering a high-quality client experience.
* Manage production vendor relationships – overseeing performance, onboarding, billing, and resource capacity for external production partners.
* Drive scalability initiatives, such as refining podcast workflows, operationalizing new ad formats, and overseeing production tools.
* Optimize processes by identifying production bottlenecks and implementing strategic improvements.
* Champion automation and AI, participating in broader initiatives to improve efficiency through emerging technologies.
* Maintain IT production infrastructure (e.g., Asana, Coda) by troubleshooting systems and partnering with the Global Tooling team.
* Advise the Sales team on SLAs, production processes, and creative policy guardrails.
Who You Are
* 5+ years of experience in client-facing project or account management, with a strong track record of managing high-volume creative output.
* Proficient in Italian and English both written and verbal.
* Extensive creative production experience across multiple formats, including streaming audio, podcasts, and display.
* Operationally minded, with a proven ability to identify inefficiencies and implement scalable solutions.
* Strategic thinker who understands how creative execution drives advertiser growth.
* Skilled vendor manager with experience in onboarding, performance management, and resource allocation.
* Expert at partnering with high-caliber clients and diplomatically navigating project complexities to deliver actionable plans and clear stakeholder alignment.
* Adaptable multitasker comfortable navigating ambiguity and handling unexpected project challenges.
* Tech & innovation-savvy, with experience in utilizing automation and AI within creative workflows.
* Proficiency in Google Suite and project management tools (Asana preferred).
Where You'll Be
* This role is based in Italy (Milan preferred)
