The successful candidate will be trained to use ship survivability software, develop naval ship models for survivability studies, perform analyses, and contribute to the development and testing of new features of the survivability code. Additional responsibilities include conducting global/local FEM analyses, including air-blast, underwater shock, and whipping studies. /p pThe engineer will be part of a multidisciplinary team of survivability and structural experts, involved in RD projects and technical consultancy. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liShip survivability modeling and analysis /li liFEM modeling and analysis /li liPreparing technical documents to present and discuss study results /li liContributing to technical proposals for commercial and research projects /li liParticipating in meetings with clients and partners /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 h3Education /h3 pMaster's Degree or PhD in naval architecture, mechanical, aerospace engineering, or related fields /p h3Skills and Experience /h3 ul liExperience or interest in numerical methods development, validation, and industrial application /li liStrong teamwork, problem-solving skills, and customer support orientation /li liUnderstanding of technical drawings (general arrangements) /li liExperience with at least one CAD environment /li liBasic proficiency in English, written and spoken /li liPreferred: Experience with FEM codes (MSC Patran, Nastran, Marc Mentat), CAD codes (Rhinoceros, Microstation), and backgrounds in naval architecture or mechanical design /li /ul pThis position requires an EU work permit.
