Leading global operator specialised in the complete management of solar and wind assets for the generation of electricity is looking for an Accountant to join our Italian division.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will play a supporting role in a wide variety of analytical, documentary, procedural, internal, and external reporting activities related to the company and its relevant stakeholders.
Activities for this position will include, but are not limited to:
* Prepare general ledger reconciliations.
* Prepare and enter intercompany transactions.
* Support month-end reporting activities.
* Prepare monthly VAT liquidation and support the tax advisor for monthly tax obligations.
* Support in the preparation of various types of tax returns.
* Assist with year-end statutory audit and financial reporting.
* Assist with budget control and budget forecasts.
* Prepare bank reconciliations.
* Enter supplier invoices and GL transactions in SAP.
* Manage and post monthly and year-end accruals.
* Prepare and process payments using banking platforms.
* Perform other ad-hoc duties.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERTISE:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar discipline.
* +3 years of experience in a similar role.
* Strong critical thinking and organisational skills.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
* Intermediate Excel skills.
* Knowledge of SAP FI (Accounting and Controlling module).
* Proficient in IT and computer systems.
* Upper intermediate English (B2).
