We are continuously growing and are looking for a professional Senior Data Engineer to join our UniQue Ispra team.\nIn this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our customers in the public sector. You will be responsible for developing new business by identifying profitable opportunities, maintaining your client portfolio through strong, long-lasting relationships, and monitoring project progress to provide excellent client service and added value.\nWhat will you be bringing to the team? Development, maintenance, and documentation of software, mainly in Python, focusing on data analytics applications, data engineering, and data collection tools.\nParticipation in data science projects led by the European Institution's scientific staff, including software engineering tasks such as requirement analysis, development, testing, and documentation.\nEngagement in project update and review meetings with project stakeholders. Requirements\nWhat do you need to succeed in this position? Master's degree + 13 years of experience.\nAbility to design and implement robust data pipelines for ingestion, cleaning, transformation, and storage of diverse data sources.\nStrong experience in software testing, including frameworks for defining and automating tests such as regression and negative testing.\nExperience in implementing best practices for software quality assurance, including unit, component, user acceptance, negative, and stress testing.\nExperience deploying software tools and services, defining APIs, using DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab).\nProficiency in debugging complex Python software and troubleshooting deployment aspects like dependencies, drivers, networking, and GPU hardware.\nExperience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.\nWillingness to stay updated with the latest in machine learning and data science technologies and libraries.\nAbility to produce clear technical documentation in English.\nAdditional training or certifications in data science and machine learning are advantageous.
