The role focuses on improving logistics and material handling documentation at sites and wind turbine blade factories, through high-quality documentation and standardization to support process stability and overall business performance (SQDC: Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost). Responsibilities
Create and update documentation for production and logistics teams (operators, quality, and logistics) in handling and logistics operations. Ensure updated documentation is always available where needed. Adhere to documented documentation principles. Actively collect feedback from production departments and the handling & logistics team on the functionality and quality of the provided documentation. Establish systems and structures to ensure documentation contains agreed information (e.g., control points, tolerances, actions for out-of-spec, PPE, and similar details). Conduct internal quality checks on documentation. Carry out internal maturity verifications of documentation against documented criteria. Keep stakeholders informed about documentation delivery timelines. Develop a process roadmap for improvements. Develop training material for reading and using the documentation. Collaborate closely with documentation specialists from other teams and share lessons learned. Contribute to building a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability. Focus on using modern documentation systems and tools, including process visualization, laser systems, and other enabling digital systems. Investigate and resolve production problems using structured methods such as 5 Whys and cause-and-effect diagrams. Apply continuous improvement principles using Lean and Kaizen tools to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and ensure final product quality. Education
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent. GB Lean certification. Training in technical writing and communication. Experience
Approximately 6 years of experience in similar roles. Experience in: Creating process flows. Drafting and maintaining work instructions (paper or digital). Validating own work. Knowledge or creation of control plans. Development of documentation for handling and logistics. Working in data-driven organizations. Optimizing and standardizing production documentation using the tools mentioned above. Core Competencies
Written and verbal communication: ability to simplify complex information. Technical proficiency: especially for logistics documentation involving transportation and storage systems, production processes, or software systems; ability to translate technical jargon into understandable language. Attention to detail: accuracy is critical for operational or regulatory documentation. Willingness to spend time in a production environment to understand and resolve problems. Data-driven decision making. Use of tools like 5 Whys, fishbone diagrams, and FMEA to identify and solve production issues. Knowledge of Kaizen methodologies to reduce waste and improve efficiency. Active participation in cross-functional product development projects. Personal motivation, results orientation, and strong organizational discipline. Interest in working with others in a large organization and ability to build an extensive network across cultures and time zones by collaborating with stakeholders.
