Validation and Verification Systems Engineer
Argotec is an Italian aerospace company specializing in the production of small satellite platforms (from 6U Cubesats up to 250 kg platforms) and innovative products to improve the comfort of space explorers. The company follows an “all in‑house” concept, encompassing design, development, integration, qualification, and operational services.
We seek an enthusiastic Validation and Verification (V&V) Systems Engineer to join our Systems Engineering Unit. The role focuses on coordinating and executing validation and verification activities throughout the spacecraft lifecycle, ensuring that the satellite and all components meet mission requirements.
DUTIES
* Accountable for Verification and Validation in all mission phases (from phase 0/A up to E).
* Define the model philosophy, verification approach, and strategy.
* Redact and execute the AIV Plan.
* Redact test specifications, collect information and needs from all disciplines, and delegate tasks as required.
* Maintain the VCD, collecting all verification reports from all disciplines.
* Maintain the verification schedule and report to the Integrated Project Team.
* Coordinate with the Mission Architect / Technical Lead and other technical figures in the team.
* Support Systems Engineering colleagues on the definition and management of technical requirements and specifications throughout the project lifecycle.
* Prepare technical documentation, reports, and technical notes.
* Support the Flight Operations Team in the definition and execution of the mission.
* Interface with the Quality Department and participate in (external/internal) NRB and NCR processes and configuration control processes.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
* Master’s degree in Aerospace or Space Engineering or a related technical field.
* At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the space field.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
* High flexibility and team‑working capability.
* Hands‑on and proactive approach.
* Ability to work within multidisciplinary and international teams.
* Excellent written and oral communication in English.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
* Knowledge of mission, system, and subsystem requirement definition and validation.
* Knowledge of spacecraft and subsystem model philosophies and overall test campaign stages.
* Good understanding of satellite architecture and design with CubeSat and SmallSat platforms.
* Knowledge of mission phases (as ECSS standard) and main activities to be performed.
* Knowledge of system engineering tools and processes.
* Knowledge of interfaces between subsystems (data, power, electrical).
* Knowledge of aerospace systems applicable standards, such as ECSS, MIL, NASA STD.
* Knowledge of space component technologies and the European/market of Small Satellite.
* Knowledge of Product Assurance and Quality management processes.
ADDITIONAL ASSETS
* Knowledge of system budgets (at least mass, power, energy, volume).
* Experience with MBSE approach and implementation.
* Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence in an Agile working framework.
* Experience with in‑orbit spacecraft operations.
* Performed projects review under Agency supervision (e.g. ESA, NASA, ASI).

Salary range: €35 000 to €45 000.
