Overview Data Observability Engineer (m/f/n) role at Enovos Luxembourg. We are seeking to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and trustworthiness of our data by monitoring, improving, and maintaining data health with modern tools and automation. Department: Energy Business IT | Location: Esch-sur-Alzette | Contract: Permanent At Enovos, data quality and observability play a critical role in driving business decisions. You will collaborate with data engineers, analysts and business stakeholders to monitor, improve and maintain data health while leveraging automation where applicable. Responsibilities You develop and implement data observability solutions to ensure high-quality, reliable, and well-monitored data pipelines You monitor, detect, and alert on data issues, proactively identifying anomalies, inconsistencies, and missing information You work closely with data teams to optimize data pipelines and troubleshoot performance or quality concerns You define key data health metrics and maintain comprehensive documentation for transparency and traceability You leverage automation and AI-driven tools where beneficial to enhance data monitoring and anomaly detection Your profile / Qualifications You hold a university degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering or equivalent You have at least 5 years of experience as a data engineer with strong understanding of data engineering concepts, data pipelines and cloud data platforms Experience with data observability tools (e.g. OpenMetadata, Data Contract CLI, Monte Carlo Great Expectations, Soda) or equivalent monitoring solutions You are proficient in SQL and Python. Experience in Node.js is a plus Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to proactively detect and resolve data issues You show a high level of engagement and initiative Highly effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
