In Iberdrola Italia, we are looking for a highly experienced Site Manager.
The Site Manager is a critical role within the Onshore Renewables Business. Belonging to the Construction Team and reporting to the Project Manager, the role will be responsible for managing the site, overseeing subcontractors, and ensuring that works are completed according to the contractual schedule and all technical requirements are fulfilled. The Site Manager will be the ultimate on-site authority for the assigned project.
The role will lead project management activities on-site for the construction of renewable projects. The individual will be a recognized expert in their field and will provide leadership within the project's requirements.
Key Tasks:
1. Serve as the main on-site representative of Iberdrola (full-time presence required).
2. Ensure the correct execution of the renewable project, including safety, QAQC, planning, and cost management, reporting to the Project Manager and the person responsible for the PV Plant package.
3. Coordinate interfaces between all activities necessary for the project's development and commissioning, including planning, cost control, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
4. Assist the Project Manager during tender processes, including preparing documentation, evaluating offers, and leading negotiations, with technical support from the engineering team.
5. Coordinate teams and planning for permitting activities, involving internal teams (engineering, permitting) and external entities (PMO, contractors).
6. Manage main supplies and execution contracts, ensuring performance in health and safety, quality, schedule, and budget.
7. Oversee subcontractor acceptance certificates and lead internal asset management towards O&M.
8. Implement Iberdrola standards, procedures, tools, and quality requirements.
9. Provide expert advice on strategies, engineering, risk management, and grid interface agreements for multi-disciplinary work packages.
10. Lead and guide team members, maintaining professional standards and delivering high-quality, cost-effective services.
11. Stay updated on technical developments to identify opportunities for cost reduction, risk mitigation, or safety improvements.
12. Coordinate incident management on-site with contractors and third parties.
13. Capture and share lessons learned across projects and teams.
14. Engage with stakeholders such as EDP and REN to oversee technical aspects during construction.
Required Qualifications:
* Technical high school diploma or engineering degree.
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in the energy industry, specifically in solar project site management.
* Knowledge of TSO/DSO standards.
* Engineering development experience is a plus.
Languages:
* Fluent in Italian.
* Professional proficiency in English.
* Spanish skills are a plus.
Additional Requirements:
* Willingness to travel nationwide 100% of the time.
