ROLE SUMMARY:
St. Louis School Archinto is seeking a well-qualified and enthusiastic Mathematics Teacher to join the Secondary School from August 2026.
The successful candidate will teach Mathematics within the IB Diploma Programme, delivering engaging and concept-driven lessons that challenge students and support high levels of academic achievement. The role requires strong subject knowledge, confidence with IB assessment practices, and the ability to contribute to a collaborative and high-performing department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Teach Mathematics within the IB Diploma Programme (Analysis & Approaches and/or Applications & Interpretation)
* Plan and deliver high-quality, concept-driven lessons aligned with IB philosophy
* Prepare students for Internal Assessments and IB external examinations
* Monitor and track student progress, providing constructive feedback
* Contribute to collaborative planning, moderation and curriculum development
* Maintain high standards of academic integrity and classroom practice
* Engage positively with parents and the wider school community
* Contribute to the wider life of the school through meetings, events and activities
* Uphold safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
Essential
* A degree in Mathematics or a closely related field
* A recognised teaching qualification
* Experience teaching Mathematics at upper secondary level
* Strong understanding of IB Diploma assessment requirements
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* Legal right to live and work in Italy (EU passport or valid work permit)
Desirable
* Experience teaching IB DP Mathematics
* Experience in an international school environment
* Experience preparing students for IB examinations
* Italian language skills (advantageous but not essential)
