Position Summary:
Technical responsible for structural fatigue analysis, working from concept phase and design up to validation.
Structural analyst Engineer will focus on the virtual fatigue analysis on static and dynamics maneuvers.
Main content in the scope: advanced calculations in structural analyses in the product development platform
Key Performance Indicators (KPI): on-time development of assigned projects, creating and meeting all specifications and validation requirements and meeting cost/weight/investment/certification targets.
Responsibilities:
* Conducts and executes, possibly coordinating internal / external resources, advanced calculation activities for structural fatigue analysis and advanced structural analysis. In particular, the following skills are required:
* The successful candidate will have a consolidated working experience in Virtual structural analysis and a thorough knowledge of fatigue analysis, material characteristics, manufacturing technologies of metals and plastics (knowledge of the N-code and Abaqus software is mandatory);
* Key objectives will be to achieve high efficiency and excellent knowledge on fatigue behavior of systems, subsystems and components of the vehicle;
* Good ability to set up a test plan and computational / experimental correlation;
* Knowledge of the theories of signals digital processing (knowledge of the N-code Glyphworks software is mandatory);
* Good knowledge in vibrational analysis of systems and subsystems
* Good ability in managing external engineering service provider teams and in dealing with their different company managers (sales, technical, program).
* Product development process and design for performance, quality and cost, according to legal and project requirements
* Work in a cross functional team to develop targets, and execute design and development tasks
* Supporting prototype and production vehicle builds as needed
* Supporting and participating in system development testing
* Development and management of specification standards and knowledge management documentation
The qualified candidate will have:
Mandatory
* Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering
* English level: upper-intermediate (English test B2 – First Certificate)
* Software knowledge for fatigue analysis (N-Code)
* Good knowledge of Hyperworks suite (pre/post).
* Excellent knowledge of virtual analysis in linear and advanced nonlinear fields with Abaqus software
* Communication skills and ability to engage and correspond with global network of teams, colleagues and interfaces.
* Basic knowledge of Multibody analysis
* Detailed knowledge of body and chassis systems and associated component manufacturers
* Ability to write technical specification requirements
* Ability to read and understand technical documents, drawings, specifications, etc
* Ability to lead test and development activities
* Ability to read and process test data
* Experience of Agile methodologies for project development
* Ability to takes "calculated risks" in uncertain situations and makes decisions quickly
* Ability to proactively initiates change in his area of competence to achieve improvements
* Ability to incorporates data and insights from multiple sources to form actionable recommendations

* Consolidated experience of at least 5 years in the automotive field on CAE structural analysis. The origin from commercial vehicles sector is to be preferred as well as BIW, Closures and Trim areas.
