Overview
Join to apply for the EXPERT ELECTRONIC ENGINEER role at Eni.
We are looking for a professional to join Eniquantic, an innovation lab in the field of quantum computing, to contribute to a quantum computer based on neutral atoms. This role involves developing electronic devices for the generation and processing of analog and digital signals that will constitute the experimental-control electronics of the quantum computer.
Responsibilities
* Design, development and testing of electronics modules for the acquisition, processing, and timing of analog, RF and digital signals, possibly in collaboration with external partners. Examples include input-output modules of analog and digital signals based on microcontrollers or FPGAs, low phase-noise DDSs, PID controllers, phase-lock electronics, and photodetectors.
* Integration of electronic modules and devices into the experimental-control system, in collaboration with the software engineering team.
Qualifications
* MSc in engineering or physics.
* At least 5 years of experience (possibly including a PhD program) of electronics design and development within academic or industrial research projects, such as optical/quantum sensors or acquisition device development.
* Experience with ECAD and electronic circuits simulation software.
* Experience with development, assembly, and testing of PCB boards.
* Experience in at least one of the following fields:
o Development and firmware programming of electronics modules based on microcontrollers for the generation, acquisition, and processing of input/output analog and digital signals.
o Development and programming of electronics modules based on FPGA for the generation, acquisition, and processing of input/output analog and digital signals.
o Development of analog DC and RF (HF, VHF, UHF) electronics for fast and low-noise control and acquisition systems.
* Teamwork in a multidisciplinary environment with autonomy and proactivity.
* Professional knowledge and use of the English language.
* Availability for travels.
Location
San Donato Milanese, Milano, Italy.
We Offer
* Permanent employment contract; our national collective labor agreement reference is the CCNL Energia e Petrolio
* Compensation based on the individual's experience
* Reward system and a comprehensive program of benefits and welfare initiatives
* A work environment where everyone can feel recognized and appreciated for their uniqueness
