Senior Mechanical EngineerUniflair Spa is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to be hired on a full‐time employment contract.The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field or, alternatively, a diploma in mechanical engineering.The selected candidate will be part of an integrated project team (including mechanical, electrical, software, and technical documentation areas) and will be responsible for developing mechanical components using Solid Edge software. Projects may involve the development of new product lines (PMP), sustaining of existing product lines (PEP), or highly customised orders for specific clients (CSP). During project development, the process will start with drafting the refrigeration diagram and will be followed by the design of 3D/2D models using CAD software such as Solid Edge. The candidate will collaborate with the electrical designer to define shared aspects (e.g., electrical panel positioning, cable routing, etc.) The candidate will also handle item coding and the creation/modification of machine BOMs, completing cross‐functional activities on the product portfolio, including the development of welding maps. The selected person will also participate in the upstream phase of the project, designing and developing new products and subassemblies, and validating complex designs and solutions through testing and prototype development. The adopted solutions must be tested independently and, within the specific area of expertise, with a strong sense of responsibility.Some activities may also involve coordinating junior mechanical profiles within the project team.Activities and Responsibilities Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from the development phase (designing the refrigeration circuit through the development of sheet metal parts, piping, etc.) specifically handling 3D modelling using Solid Edge, 2D drafting using CAD tools, and item coding using PLM and AS400 systems.Maintain constant communication with the Project Team Leader discussing technical issues, costs, product performance, and any emerging criticalities.Prepare the manufacturing specifications document (CIS) in collaboration with the Production / Factory Engineering Manager, ensuring proper documentation and updates.Ensure that all activities meet the quality requirements established by the company and those requested by the customer.Support the creation of technical documentation with images and relevant information.
At least 3 years of experience in mechanical design of industrial machinery (preferably HVAC systems).Experience with 3D CAD software (preferably Solid Edge).Highly motivated individual with strong problem‐solving skills, capable of working in a dynamic, matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders.English language proficiency at B1 level.
